Mr. Gaston led the concept development, public involvement, engineering analysis, and design of the first Restricted Crossing U-turn (RCUT) corridors in Texas, the US 281 Superstreet and the Loop 1604 Superstreet, both in San Antonio, Texas. The US 281 includes one Median U-Turn (MUT) intersection with a triple left-turn. He also managed the conceptual development of the FM 973 at SH 71 Superstreet intersections in Austin. Mr. Gaston has led the conceptual development and analysis of more than 50 intersections in Texas, along SH 16, US 181, and additional miles of US 281. He has prepared conceptual analyses for several DLT interchanges for Texas Diamonds with continuous frontage roads. Other concepts that have been evaluated include CFI's, DDI's, roundabouts DDI's, including the development of DLTI concepts for Texas Diamonds.
