Tim Rayner

Parsons Brinckerhoff
As a transportation professional in Hampton Roads, Tim Rayner proudly joined Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB) in 2007. Prior to PB, Tim served the public sector for seven years, divided between the City of Virginia Beach and the City of East Lansing, home of Michigan State University. His broad experience provides a comprehensive perspective of the transportation industry and its importance in our lives. Tim specializes in transportation planning and traffic operations. His unique approach to solving the issues of traffic flow and congestion on arterial corridors in urban settings often results in non-traditional intersection design. By viewing the many factors unique to each intersection, including their relation in time and space, his philosophy is that intersections can work collectively to move traffic safely and efficiently.
